  • Disconnect Completely:
    The electrical installation must be disconnected from live parts on all places.
  • Secure against re-connection:
    Replacing turned off fuses in the low-voltage system with lock out devices to prevent the accidental re-connection of an installation where work is in progress.
  • Right Tools for the Right Job:
    Using the right tool for the right job and more importantly procedural handling of the tool.
  • Earthing & Short-Circuiting:
    All relevant parts will be earthed before they are short-circuited.
  • Protection against adjacent live parts:
    If parts of an electrical installation in the vicinity zone of the work location cannot be disconnected, additional precautions must be taken before work starts. Insulating protective shutters will be used as protection against accidental contact.
